MMA was approached by White Cube to convert a temporary exhibition space into a permanent gallery within an impressive warehouse in Sao Paulo for the London-based gallery’s first South American outpost.  We retained the industrial character of the existing building, whilst providing clean, robust art walls lit by exposed fluorescent lighting.  Directly adjacent to the main space is a second gallery that provides climate control, allowing for the display of artwork sensitive to humidity or fluctuations in temperature.  Staff offices, a private viewing room and storage space were also provided.
